Comment a keyword, get a link: how comment-to-DM works

If you came to this site from my video, you've already seen this working: you commented a word, and the link arrived in your messages.

How it works

1. You post a video or image with a simple ask: "Comment GUIDE and I'll send it to you."
2. A tool connected to your account watches the comments for that word.
3. When it spots it, it sends that person a private message with your link, straight away.
4. If they reply, you're in a normal conversation, and you (or the tool) can follow up.

Why it works

• Commenting is easier than clicking a link in your bio, so more people do it.
• Every comment tells the platform the post is worth showing to more people.
• The link arrives privately, so the person feels looked after rather than sold to.

Meta's rules for Instagram

• One automatic private reply per comment.
• It must be sent within 7 days of the comment.
• More messages only after the person replies, and within 24 hours of their reply.
• Automated chat must say it's automated where the law requires it.

The tools

Setting it up well

• Choose one short, unusual keyword, and say it in the video and the caption.
• Write the message: thank them, give the link, and say what they'll find there.
• Tag the link so you can see which post the visits came from.
• Test it with a comment from a friend's account. Comments from your own page's account often don't trigger it.
• Where automation isn't available, reply by hand within a day. Speed matters more than polish.
